KNOW YOUR ATHEIST
What is it that makes one an Atheist?
Why are some people Atheists and some people Baptists? What is it which sets the Atheists apart from the rest of mankind? What makes the Atheists different? The Jovial Atheist is going to tell you. You are going to be shocked. The one main and crucial difference is:
HONESTY AND MORALITY
Atheists are not born Atheists. Neither are Baptists born Baptists. (In the place of Baptists, you need to insert your own religion. I just like to use the term Baptist and give them the credit, because they were the ones who nurtured me into Atheism.)
First, it is important to notice that a large majority of present day Atheists were first members of religion and many were ministers, rabbis or priests. It is true there are some Atheists who never were religious, or connected with a religion. But you do not become an Atheist unless you are concerned for truth and honesty, along with the well being and morality of yourself (and all mankind). Most likely, you will not become an Atheist unless you are distraught over the evils and dishonesty of those who call themselves Christians, Muslims, Jews or religious. You will most likely not become an Atheist unless you contrast the dishonesty, hostility, lack of justice, meanness and self conceit of the religious (most of them) with a higher more moral concept which you know is right and wholesome. Most likely you will not become an Atheist if you do not accept and live the wise and undeniable truth that:
You must not do to others that which you would not have done unto yourself.
This admonition is the conclusion and only religion of most Atheists.
What Atheist has ever bombed a hospital? What Atheist has ever shot a doctor over whether a woman should or should not have the right to determine if she will be pregnant? What Atheist has ever formed legislation to take away the justice and civil rights of any group in this country? What Atheist has not sought for and hoped for, equality at law, education and justice for all mankind? What Atheist has ever lowered himself and ignored his principals to lobby for, or vote for, some prohibition on anything (guns, drugs, sexual activity, etc.)? What Atheist has not been belittled and scoffed at for not believing the unbelievable (tales of religions)? What Atheist has not been accused of being evil and a tool of the devil because he opposes the injustices of the political and religious fanaticism called the religious right? What Atheist has ever entered into mob action against those who hold differing opinions? What Atheist has ever written or told lies about the church? (The truth is bad enough.) What Atheist has not been saddened by the "holier than thou" attitude of the righteous? What Atheist has not suffered at the hands, laws and lies of the righteous?
What Atheist is there who does not know (if there were a just and moral god) the deity would not run the errands and chores which the self deluded believers beg him to run? What Atheist is there who does not know that a moral god would not order murder, war, hospital bombings, ethnic cleansing, mob violence, censorship, tyranny, voter fraud, dissemination of lies, character assignations and thefts from the common treasury of the United States to operate their schools and churches? What Atheist is there who is ignorant of the major facts of science and history?
What Atheist is there who has not mourned and wept over the injustices and hostilities perpetrated by the "righteous right"? What Atheist is there who does not know that there is not one single fact, not even one single clue which even hints at the truthfulness of the Bible? What Atheist is there who does not know that down through the ages, scholars and historians have claimed, and proven, that the whole New Testament is one big deception and lie? What Atheist is there who does not know that religion is the biggest and most profitable fraud ever fostered upon mankind? What Atheist is there who does not know that the only people who stay religious are the lazy of mind, the gullible, the ignorant, the unsane, the self deluded and those who believe they can get something for nothing from the sky?
So, first of all, to be an Atheist, one must have a sense of morality and justice which is far greater than the sham which religion calls morality. It is not that the righteous do not have a pretty good idea of justice and morality. They do. What is different between the morals of the Atheists and the morals of the righteous is, the Atheists believe that morality and justice is for EVERYONE! The righteous believe morality and justice is their own private property and is to be extended only to themselves and their selected friends. And this difference becomes even more dismal when the Baptists (along with the Catholics and others) declare that full morality and full justice is not even to be extended to their own wives, mothers and daughters.
Now my friends, Atheists KNOW something is wrong here!
Yes, Atheists are different, and I say bless that difference. Why? Because Atheists are basically honest and desire justice for everyone including themselves. Now, all Atheists are not courageous so you may have an Atheist working with you and you do not know it. This is because the Atheist knows you will start trying at once to SAVE him from the mythological perils of Honest Doubt and Honest Thinking. He knows you will go for help and engage others in your zeal to WIN the Atheist over to your delusion. He knows his name will be broadcast about in various prayer groups and even from pulpits. He knows your people will begin to look at him sideways. He knows that upon your failure to do the impossible (convert him) you will begin to shun him and harass him and make working with you a very unpleasant experience.
The Atheist knows that your Christian attitude will soon compel you to begin belittling him, to accuse him of dishonorable conduct, and eventually to engage him with hostility and accusations of some immorality or evil. Character assassination will start. Eventually, he will quit or be fired, and you will have a feeling of pride that YOU have rid the environment of such an evil disbeliever. You will be proud. You will get a star on your behavioral chart which the Almighty's record keeping department diligently records on their data base. That is how you view yourself. That is your morality at work. That is your justice in operation. That is your Christianity. And don't forget, the work place may be the Senate of the United States of America, or the House of Representatives, or the Executive branch.
The problem with Christianity is that, factually and logically speaking, it is as defenseless as a cherry pie. And you know that too. You know you can not even understand, much less, logically prove your belief. How can you believe something which you do not and can not understand? Indeed, the best minds of the world have sought to understand the many baseless claims, contradictions and impossibilities of Christianity. All have failed! You know that there is no logic, no scientific fact and no single clue to defend your religion. You know that only the gullible, the ignorant and the mentally defenseless can possibly believe these unbelievable tales. You know that NO ONE (not even the TV preacher) knows what God sounds like, or with what accent he speaks. You don't even know if God and/or Jesus has genitals or not. You do not know and have not checked to find out that there is not one single civil source which shows that ANY of the things told in the New Testament are true. The Jews, the Romans and the Greeks all claimed that the tales were untrue and they wrote during that time. They were the scholars and historians of the period. Not one single civil source even mentions any of the New Testament tales and happenings. Not one! NONE! Why?
You do not know that there are a few accounts which were later faked into some of the historical writings of those who wrote during the time of the New Testament period. But every scholar who has studied the accounts agree. Words and spellings were used in these interpolations which did not come into usage until over two hundred years AFTER the originals writers died. Towns were named which did not come into existence until over a hundred and fifty years after the original writers DIED.
The Jewish and Greek scholars who opposed the greed and injustices of the early church, wrote often that there was not even a clue that verified any of the tales in the New Testament. These scholars were very familiar with these current events and with the early writers and historians. They all declared that there was no record nor truth to the tales. They searched and quoted from Jewish, Roman and Greek records and accounts of the time of the New Testament, and all declared there was NO record and NO proof of ANY of the Christian claims.
In the fourth century and the seventh century the church inserted a few accounts into some of the earlier writings which look like a high school insert in the middle of a professional account of the time. That is more proof they were illegally and immorally added later. Actually, this is not bad for an outfit which cut off heads and burned people at the stake if they didn't believe that one plus one plus one equaled one.
WHAT IS A DELUSION?
If a person has a delusion (or makes one up) which is contrary to the cultural beliefs of the time, then that culture classifies that person as some what insane. If that deluded person can convince some others that the delusion is true, then that delusion is soon considered to be a belief. If over time, enough people can be convinced that the delusion is true, then that delusion becomes a religion. Bye and bye, as a religion, that delusion is incorporated into the cultural beliefs of a group of people.
Now the process comes full circle. If someone DOES NOT believe that delusion, then that disbeliever is NOW considered to be some what insane - an Atheist. So Atheists are considered to be some what insane according to the Baptists and the other "righteously right" people. Why? Because the Atheists have studied the civil history and the religious history. They have found the Christian claims and history to be made out of bits and pieces of other ancient religions. Everything in the Bible can be traced back to the same claims made by other religions, especially the Mithric Church and religion which had their own Jesus Christ (savior anointed). His name was Mithra and he died on the cross to save mankind from his sin, once and for all time. He now sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty and intercedes in our behalf. Of course, in order to have this salvation, you must NOT DOUBT. YOU MUST BELIEVE, OBEY and be baptized. There is nothing new in the Christian religion. So Christians still say, you must believe and not doubt (just like the old religions).
CHRISTIANITY IS A DELUSION
What we have here is a declaration by the righteous that to Honestly Doubt and check up on these religious claims is to be some what insane (not to mention lost and going to hell). That is, to possess and use Honesty, Morality and Knowledge in their research and search for the truth, is to be some what insane - or Atheistic. And indeed, the Bible declares that position and concept to be absolutely correct. The Bible declares that man's knowledge and wisdom is folly. Man's wisdom and knowledge is classified as deceivers of mankind, a tool of the devil and is to be shunned by all good believers. In other words, to remain a good believer one must discard his Morality, his Honesty and his Knowledge and be asleep (sorry, a slip there) a sheep. Of course, they MUST say "believe and not doubt" in order to keep you from thinking about their claims in light of what you know to be true.
A belief can not be dignified by claiming it came from some divinity. It can not be justified on the basis of lies, falsified claims, murder, burning people at the stake or putting truth tellers in jail. A belief can not be proven true by pointing to other famous unsane people and saying these famous people believed the lie, and therefore, the lie is the truth.
A belief can only have dignity and acceptance if it can be proven to be true. However, if it can be proven true, it is no longer a belief, but now falls into the category of fact and truth. Which actually means, any belief about anything, must be classified by honest thinking people as doubtful, or false and untrue until it is proven to be true, or at the least, proven possible.
For two thousand years Christianity has been trying to prove that its myths and claims ARE true by killing, torturing, putting in jail, belittling, shunning and mocking those who say it is not true. Why do you not just prove your claims. If you can prove any of it, I will be your first convert. I am always looking for TRUTH. To believe something - does not make it true. To have someone tell you it is true - does not make it true. To claim a deity told the tale - does not make it true. To find out if something is true, you must investigate it from sources not connected with the claim. There are NO civil sources outside of Christianity which have even any commit upon the claims of the Christian religion, except to declare that the claims are not true, and that NO record exists to even study. No Jesus, no disciples, no Paul, no great disturbance as claimed by the Bible. No Civil record. No nothing! Why?
Does Honest Doubt scare you? Blind dishonest belief scares me!
But, those who honestly think, who deal in the facts of a matter, who shun fables and myths, who hunt for the TRUTH in all things, are condemned by your God and your Bible. Your belief claims that any Honest Doubt and any Honest hunt for the truth of these religious claims is evil and a product of the devil. Not only that, Christianity claims that one will go to hell if he checks to see if they are telling the truth - or not. Your religion also claims Atheists are in some manner insane (or unsane) for not believing.
Yes, the Atheists are different. They can not accept the delusions of religions or politics. Why? Because Atheists know, anything which can not be examined or proven can only be believed or doubted. They (by their philosophy) are then obligated to honestly doubt it until evidence is brought forth which proves, or at least makes the claim possible. You see, Atheists are honest and they know if someone says, "You must BELIEVE Jesus died for your sins to save you from hell." what those believers really mean when they say BELIEVE, is:
"DON'T YOU DARE CHECK TO SEE IF I AM TELLING YOU THE TRUTH OR NOT!"
To honestly doubt, check, or to question, the claims of a righteous right person is to commit a terrible, terrible religious sin which sends you to hell.
Atheists are honest people, therefore, they are by nature honest doubters and honest checkers. That is, they check up on claims to determine if they are true or not. They are also practical. They know that man goes to great lengths to determine the truth about any matter. We have judges, juries, courts, oaths, bookkeeping, accounting, witnesses, scholarly research, astronomers, zoologists, biologists, scientists of physics, investigations, rules, laws, spies, lie detectors and all sorts of devices and procedures to determine the truth of something. Man hunts for the truth in every matter and aspect of life - (EXCEPT ONE). Man seeks to filter out the lies in every area known to mankind, - EXCEPT IN RELIGION. It is only in religion where the untruth is allowed to reign - unchecked and unchallenged.
We should ALL be ashamed! We should all be Honest! We should all seek the truth! We should NEVER believe. Belief is the absence of knowledge. You only believe something when there are NO facts to support the claim. You only believe something when you know something can not be proven. To believe is to ignore your mind, your honesty, your humanity, your right to possess the truth. Belief is only the property of the dishonest, the lazy, the gullible, the ignorant and the people who want wisdom without using honest clear thinking to get it. Belief is only for the people who want knowledge without hard, honest, factual studying to get it. Belief is for those who want victory without being valiant, who want wealth without work and good health without practicing it. Belief is for those who want love without being lovable, and who want happiness without making others happy. Belief is for those who want the Almighty to run their chores for them. Belief is for those who want something for nothing.
Belief is the ideal and goal of those who will believe anything in the hope of getting SOMETHING FOR NOTHING. Religion and gambling are one and the same in their goal and motivation. The righteous are looking for the jackpot, for salvation for themselves, for heaven, for the answers and rewards of their selfish prayers. They seek to obtain power and rulership over the "others" who do not believe in their delusions. And some of them want it NOW. And some will kill, lie and slander for it.
WE SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED! WE SHOULD ALL BE ATHEISTS!
Yes, Atheists are different. They are basicly Moral and they are Honest. And believe me (or check up on me) that IS different. In addition to that, they are smart. Have you ever met a dumb Atheist? Have you ever met an Atheist who hasn't done his religious homework? Have you ever met an Atheist who didn't know as much or more about your Bible history than you do? Have you ever met an Atheist who did not conduct his life in a generally Moral fashion? Have you ever met an Atheist who was not totally satisfied with his disbelief and Honest Doubt? I will guess that you have not.
Have you ever met any of the "righteous right" believers who put TRUTH ahead of belief, who put HONESTY ahead of faith, who put HUMANITY ahead of church, who put JUSTICE ahead of judgment? I have not. Have you?
So, what makes one an Atheist? His own Honesty and Morality does that. And the dishonesty and lack of morality on the part of the believers, reaffirms his decisions. Honesty and Morality makes Atheists. One's religious dishonesty, immorality and narrow view of what is right and good makes one a Baptist (or religious).
AND THAT IS WHY I AM AN ATHEIST!

Do not to others what you would not have done to yourself.
