LATE NEWS:

The new Phage-Tech Interest Group (PhTIG) will hold its organizational
meeting in the Medical Board Room (2C116) in Building 10 on Wednesday, Sept.
8 at 4:30 p.m. The PhTIG is devoted to novel uses of bacteriophage to answer
biological questions. The first speaker will be Carl R. Merril, who will
speak and show a video file of successful rescue of mice infected with a
lethal dose of vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE)- by treatment with
phage specific to VRE. This meeting will be on the web on Mbone (NIH only).
