Visiting NCI at Frederick


NCI at Frederick is located within the Ft. Detrick U.S. Army facility in
Frederick, Maryland. Please be aware that you will be asked to provide
Ft. Detrick security with proof of identification, and your vehicle
may be briefly searched, before being allowed to enter the facility
grounds. Below you will find some useful maps of the NCI at Frederick
Campus area and driving directions for many common starting points.

Directions from Washington, DC:
Total Distance: Approximately 55 miles

* I-270 north to Frederick

* As you approach Frederick, I-270 ends and becomes Rt. 15
  north to Frederick/Gettysburg, PA.

* Follow Route. 15 North to the Fort Detrick/Seventh Street
  Exit

* Bear right at the bottom of the ramp onto Seventh Street;

* Follow straight to Fort Detrick entrance; turn right into the
  Main Gate; use one of the two lanes to the right

* Follow through gate to stop sign at 4-way intersection and
  continue straight on Veterans Drive

* At stop sign, turn left on Sultan Drive

* Continue through two stop signs; you will see Bldg. 549, the
  Scientific Library on your right. Park in the lot beyond the
  building.

* Continue through two stop signs; you will see Bldg. 549, the
  Scientific Library on your right. Park in the lot beyond the

* At stop sign, turn left on Sultan Drive
