WALS Nominations for 2016-2017 are open until Dec. 31.  Please send
your suggestions to me by Dec. 11th; I'll send out a ballot the
following week so we have some time to submit the nominations after
voting.  Information:

"Please help keep this series relevant with your careful selection of
speakers that reflects the diversity of NIH's scientific research and
the community's desire for constant learning and discovery. To bring
the best and brightest speakers to NIH, the selection committee seeks
nominees who (a) engage audiences with information and presentation
style, (b) lead cutting-edge research projects, and (c) appeal to
diverse groups of NIH researchers.
We prefer nominees who haven't delivered a WALS talk in the last five
years. A list of past WALS speakers (excluding current season) is
