Tom's Microwave Salmon
-
Buy some fresh salmon.
-
Wash the salmon with water
and put on a microwave-safe plate.
Wash your hands and anything that the salmon touched
before cooking
to avoid Salmonella bacteria.
-
Sometimes I poke holes using a fork, then I cover with
lemon juice and some olive oil.
-
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the fish.
I usually coat it pretty well.
-
Sprinkle salt seasoning over the fish. I use
McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning, which is one
of their Grill Mates Series.
-
Put toothpicks in the fish.
-
Wrap the plate with wax paper. The toothpicks prevent
the cheese from sticking to the paper.
-
Place the plate in a rotating microwave oven.
(I don't know how often
you would have to rotate if the oven does not.)
The fish can have small explosions,
so tuck the wax paper edges under the plate
well.
-
Microwave 6 minutes for a large fish.
(Times will vary, you may need to experiment.)
-
Let sit another 5 or 6 minutes, to finish cooking.
-
Enjoy!
