Intelligent Systems Technical Committee
The Intelligent Systems Technical Committee will address the application
of Artifical Intelligence (AI) technologies and methods to aeronautics
and astronautic systems, the verification and validation of those systems,
and the education of the AIAA membership in the use of AI technologies
in other technical disciplines. The systems of interest include both military
and commercial, aerospace and ground systems. Ground systems are limited
to those involved in test, development and operations that support aerospace
systems. AI technologies of interest include expert systems, planners,
natural language interfaces, data fusion, image understanding and knowledge
engineering.
Nominees for the Artificial Intelligence Technical Committee should
have experience in developing or managing aerospace systems involving one
or more of the following: knowledge engineering, knowledge acquisition,
verification/validation of knowledge based systems, neural networks, expert
systems, or the use of artificial intelligence concepts/techniques to support
natural language interfaces, image understanding, planning/scheduling,
or data fusion. The emphasis is on aerospace applications of AI, rather
than basic research or tool development.
