Attention Teachers: Teaching Info

Here are two C&O Canal pages from the Montgomery County Public Schools "Social Studies Field Trip Database" :
- The Canal in the Georgetown area and in the Great Falls area.
- Each page has basic information for teachers wanting to take their students to the site, as well as pre and post trip lesson suggestions. The Great Falls page also has links to photos from the National Archives that were scanned and put on-line by the school system. Most are unique to the site.
In addition, the Park Service has lesson plans available for many National Historic sites. Included is a lesson plan about the building of the C and O Canal.
